Tenerife Güímar Open Fotosub 2015

International Underwater Photo and Video Competition In Güímar Now in its sixth year, the international photo competition Open Fotosub Tenerife Güímar 2015 is open for entries from now till 21 October 2015. Since its launch in 2010, it has become one of the biggest photo competitions in Spain. Held in Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands, the theme for this year's competition, as always, is 'Güímar Underwater'. In recent years, the coastal strip of Güímar has evolved into one of the largest and most famous dive sites of Tenerife. To be eligible, all photo and video entries must be taken between October 23rd and November 8th at prescribed diving spots. Underwater photographers and videographers at all levels – from amateurs to professionals – from all over the world are welcome to participate. There are four categories: 'Photography for Professionals', 'Photography for Beginners' (compact camera), 'Video' and the new category of 'Action Cam'. Entrants for the last category would be given an editing program 'Fastcut' free of charge by the company MAGIX, with the condition that the participants use Fastcut to edit their video entry. Entry fees are 40 Euros for professionals and 20 Euros for amateurs and beginners. In addition to cash awards of up to 300 Euros, there are also prizes like regulators, dive computers and fins from the main sponsor Mares. Another main sponsor is SSI.
