Kuda Giri Wreck

Lumboa Giri is located quite close to Kuda Giri, and it’s a quite similar dive site, although smaller and without the wreck. A nice pinnacle, with an interesting configuration, it boasts nice hard & soft corals, a good fish life, and makes for an interesting macro option.

O Kuda Giri é um naufrágio muito bonito e velho, acessível por um curto banho a partir do pináculo. Este é um mergulho de barco com um excelente e pequeno naufrágio sentado ao lado de um giri (pináculo) muito bem estabelecido, com muitas grutas pequenas e sobrecobertas.

Dhigu Thila lies in the pass between the local island of Gulhi & the resort of Anantara. A quite long thila, it boasts majestic sea fans, beautiful soft & hard corals, and a dense & thriving fish life. Marble sting rays, eagle rays, grey reef sharks, occasional manta, and good macro is what you can expect here

Although generally less dived than its northern counterpart (Miyaru Faru), Gulhi corner is a good option when oceanic current runs from the south east. A nice place to finish the dive after crossing the channel (coming from Myraru Faru corner). Some small overhangs with nice hard & soft corals. plenty of pelagics

Named after a customer participating in a “search for new dive site“, Yaara giri is an easy dive site, with an interesting topography (wall, sand slopes, reef outcrops), decent corals and a good fish life. Occasional hawksbill turtles and white tip reef sharks can be seen here, on top of the usual reef fish.

In the local language (Dhivehi), Miyaru means “shark“ and Faru means “reef“. Shark’s reef it is then, so it’s not too hard to guess what you can expect here !! White tip sharks galore, grey reef sharks aplenty, a few nurse sharks, less common leopard sharks too and even rare tiger sharks & whale sharks sightings!

Small caves & overhangs that lies in the middle of the pass between Maafushi & Anantara Resort. Good fish life, and nice soft coral growing underneath the coral formations, tucked away from light and current, which can be quite strong here.

Com o nome do banco de areia próximo, os turistas de Maafushi costumavam vir brincar antes da abertura da praia de Bikini na ilha. Belo local de mergulho para macro & mergulhos noturnos, com corais saudáveis e boa vida de peixe. As tartarugas estão presentes, juntamente com as arraias Mobula e o ocasional tubarão do recife de ponta branca.

Este é um mergulho em terra, 2 a 3m de profundidade, aproximadamente 200m de comprimento, tem um fundo arenoso com manchas de algas marinhas, blocos de coral, e faz parte do Projeto Fazenda de Cultivo de Coral Passions.

Este é um ótimo site para mergulhadores iniciantes e avançados. Esta casa recife é facilmente acessível a partir da costa e repleta de vida marinha.
