Diving in Unawatuna
If you want clear, warm waters that are exceptionally calm, scuba diving Unawatuna between December and March is a real treat. Here there are a whole host of different dive sites that can be quite rocky and contain some sensational wrecks – don’t miss the Rangoon wreck, populated by huge schools of fish. Ideal for beginners it is also great for deep dives and night dives. You’ll spot huge Napolean wrasse and black coral as well as tiny sea horses and the sweeping white-sand bay of Unawatuna itself is absolutely beautiful and the perfect place to relax when you’ve finished diving.
