Tauchbasis Florian, Kulkwitzer See
The maximum depth in the southern basin is 26 meters. The Kulki, as divers affectionately call the lake, owes its formation to the mining of lignite. The Kulki is one of the oldest opencast mining lakes in the Leipzig area and by far the most attractive. There are 2 practice platforms available for dive training.
During the period of lignite mining, numerous trees grew in the mine. Some of them were flooded and today serve as shelter for pike, catfish, and other fish.
