Sasavele Dump Site

A WWII dump site featuring giant steel pontoons of a former US Navy base scuttled at the end of the occupation. Assorted machinery of the war and a quantity of live ordinance scattered about the sloping wall that drops to 40m. A history enthusiast dive site 15 minutes from Munda.

This site hosts an abundance of macro critters such as nudibranchs and cleaner shrimp. Also look out for Nurse Sharks and passing Eagle Rays.

Coral Corner is located off Tombatuni (Mushroom) Island and is a pristine, reef wall drop. Located 25 minutes from Dive Munda, this is a fantastic site, whether you are snorkelling or diving.

A spectacular wall on the Blanche Channel, featuring massive Gorgonian fan corals, Spotted Eagle Rays, Bumphead Parrotfish, Napoleon Wrasse, Green Moray eels and plenty of Nudibranchs and other smaller critters for the macro lovers. The dive that has it all. A 20 minute boat ride from the dive shop.

Tombatuni Point

A 25 minute boat ride from Munda, this Tombatuni is an island ringed by sheer drop offs of over 500 metres into the blue waters of Blanche Channel. This wall has masses of barrel sponges, beautiful soft corals and fans, populated by an array of colourful and hard-to-find critters.

Nusa Roviana Wall

Nusa Roviana is a beautiful wall dive with huge gorgonian fans and other soft corals all along the wall. The site is located approximately 20 minutes from Munda.

Secret Spot is a wall dive exposed to Blanche Channel and the deep blue waters of the Solomon Sea. A sensational, healthy reef dropping off to several hundred meters. Occasionally prone to a bit of current, making this an ideal slow drift dive with plenty of pelagic action. Located about 20 minutes from the dive shop.

Aichi D3A ’Val’ (Wreck)

This site is a fully intact Aichi D3A “Val“ dive bomber wreck. The aircraft rests upside down, at a depth of 10-15m. As well as being a fascinating wreck to explore, the Val is home to a whole host of interesting critters, such as shrimp and lionfish.

Castaway Island

This dive site is used as a confined water training site at Castaway (Hombupeka) Island. It is a gentle, sandy slope with some small reefs. The site is only two minutes from the dive shop with a maximum depth of 5m.

Vought F4U Corsair (Wreck)

This Corsair lies in about 8m of water in a silty bottom just a few hundred meters out from the dive shop. Visibility can be challenging depending on tides and wind so early in the morning is the best time to explore this fully intact wreck.

This site never stops delivering. More advanced, a bit further away and close to the majestic Rendova island, this site impresses with pelagics, sharks, rays galore. When the show is on, hook your reef clip in and watch it all go by! Spectacular!

Mitsubishi G3M ’Nell’ (Wreck)

This Mitsubishi G3M “Nell“ bomber is only 5 mins from the dive shop. The plane lies in only 6m of water and remains mostly intact, so makes for a fascinating dive or snorkel for wreck enthusiasts.
