Umm Gamar

This site is about 1 hour and 30 min away from Elgouna to the southeast. This site is considered one of best dive sites in this area. It is roughly 200 meters long and full of hard and soft coral. There is a nice sloping drop-off on both sides. A fun dive for drift divers and also for a technical divers as well.

About 2 hours southeast of El Gouna is one of the most beautiful reefs of El Gouna. Since the reef is located in the open sea, there are often strong currents. This gives the possibility for many predators to inhabit the reef and corals, due to the great living conditions.

Poseidon ligger i den södra delen av Shaab El Erg som ligger ca 1h 15min öster om El Gouna. Det är en vacker korallträdgård där du ofta kan hitta stora grupper av fiskar.

Gota Iris är det sista kvarteret från Shaab Iris. Shaab Iris ligger i Abu Nugar-regionen, cirka 1,5 timme från El Gouna, och består av ett huvudrev och många korallblock. Det genomsnittliga djupet är 14 meter.

Denna dykplats ligger ungefär 1 timme och 15 minuter från El Gouna i nordost. Revet är en förlängning av Dolphin House Reef i norr. Det har en snyggt sluttande korallträdgård och är enkelt. Vanligtvis finns det en svag ström, vilket gör detta till ett drivdyk. Det finns goda möjligheter att se rockor och delfiner, och definitivt mantas under sommarsäsongen.

Den här dykplatsen är den del av korallrevet som utgör kanalen till Dolphins House Reef. Den ligger 1 timme och 10 minuters resa nordost om El Gouna. Platsen har ett maxdjup på 10 meter och är full av mjukkoraller och anthiasfiskar. Det finns fina tinnar med sluttande korallträdgårdar i närheten.

Dolphin House (Gota Shaab el Erg) lies to the west of the main reef, Shaab El Erg. Here the reef forms a channel into the open sea where the dolphins often like to swim in and out. Be aware, the channel can cause a moderate current.

1 hour to the south of El Gouna you can find the Fanadir reefs. It is a wall full of spectacular marine life. Above the wall is a plateau which is about 20m wide, then the wall drops off to over 70m deep. There is one big pinnacle full of glass fish and moray eels.
