’The Lake’ is actually an ocean dive site accessible by shore and consists of a beautiful double reef. The first reef is shallower than the second reef and they are separated by a long sand strip.
A great shore accessible dive site that’s less crowded than some of the other more popular dive sites but still offers the experience of diving the double reef system.
Another great shore dive in Bonaire, especially nice for photographers due to the sheer diversity of marine life found here. You’ll be greeted underwater first by a sandy plateau and the reef starts just a bit further out.
Sitting just across the street from the airport, Windsock is an excellent easy entry shore dive great for all levels of divers. A shallow, sandy plateau is followed by a healthy reef structure full of marine life.
An easily accessible shore dive with a double reef feature. The first reef is shallow and great for beginning divers and snorkelers. The second reef is a bit deeper and separated by a long, skinny sand flat.
Unlike a lot of the shore dive locations on the island on Bonaire which have hard limestone entry points, 18 Palm is an easy sandy beach access point and two freshwater showers to rinse your gear at the end of your dive.
Calabas Reef is the house reef for the popular Divi Flamingo Beach Resort and sits right out in front of it. A healthy reef system with lots of turtles, groupers and even a seahorse or two.
