Morrison Springs

Morrison Springs is one of the most popular diving spots in northwest Florida. The large, sand-bottomed spring is surrounded by a 161-acre park that is managed by Walton County.

Wildlife encounters include your typical Florida spring fish like bluegill, bass, cichlids, catfish, and tilapia. Possible sightings of alligators, turtles, and manatees in the winter.

USS Strength (Wreck)

USS Strength, a World War II minesweeper, saw action off Iwo Jima and Okinawa where she survived both a midget submarine attack and a kamikaze raid. Later in life, Strength served as a training hulk for Navy salvage divers in Washington, D.C., and then Panama City.

Destin East Jetty

This is a shore dive. There are jetties on both the east and west side of the pass at this beach - the east side is where people do most of their diving. This is a good local spot with plenty to see.

The Black Bart (Wreck)

Sunk off the coast of Panama City Beach, this offshore oilfield supply vessel was sunk as an artificial reef in 1993. Divers can swim through the intact wheelhouse at 40 feet, investigate the deck at 66 feet, and explore the open cargo holds at 80 feet. A great wreck dive for newer divers.

Tex Edwards Barge (Wreck)

Depth: 65-75ft. 
GPS Location: Latitude 30 16.138′ N Longitude 87 10.157′ WSunk in 1982 the Tex Edwards Barge sits in about 75′ of water roughly 7 miles east of Pensacola Pass. While the site has subsided some over the years, large sections of the barge remain intact.
