Neufelder See, Einstieg Tauch-Sport-Vienna

This artificial lake near Vienna offers many training possibilities for beginners and advanced divers. There are at platforms found at 5m, 8m, 12m, and 20m, two buoyancy tubes, and many new sights sunk by engaged divers.

About 16-18 min north, 30-50m from shore, you will reach a steep wall that drops down to about 20m. Above it, at a depth of 5m, there is an extensive “seagrass meadow“ (sago pondweed), bordered in the west by the rising shore, which you can follow on your right, back to the entrance.

Going south past the platform at 10m, you can dive for a long time at a depth 15 - 20m over several ridges. Under the shore in the west there is a smaller steep wall with small caves. Above an overgrown edge at about 6m, you can follow, along your left shoulder, back to the entrance.

The artificial lake (here brown coal was mined in the open pit) near Vienna, offers just at the entrance height of the diving base many training opportunities for beginners and advanced; wooden platforms at different depths and various, sunken sights.

Dive site Neufeldsee Strandbad. Located at the southern end of the Neufeldsee. Access from the parking lot about 100m. Two jetties are available. There is a platform at 5m deep. The shore area is shallow, then steeply slopes down to >8m. WC facilities are open in the winter.

The Ratzersdorfersee is used in the summer months as a bathing lake where diving is permitted all year round. Especially night dives are very interesting, because the fish richness can be seen mainly at night. In the winter months the visibility is best with up to 10 meters.

This location is a gravel pit, located near Bratislava, about 3 km from the city of Podunajské Biskupice, near the villages Rovinka and Dunajská Lužná. Košariská is interesting mainly due to the depth. You can find places with depths up to 43m. The water in the lakes is clean and the quality is close to drinking.

Lake Süli - Šulianske jazero, Slovakia5 Sea DC Training Site - On the gravel road you can get into the dive site by passing the buffet. Due to a closed gate, an appointment must be made in advance.

The Erlaufsee is a mountain lake at the foot of the Gemeindealpe not far from the village of Mitterbach am Erlaufsee. The border between Lower Austria and Styria runs through the lake. The ARGE DiveCard is mandatory.

Gravel lake “Guláška“ (Hlboké jazero, Čiernovodské jazero) is for many Slovak divers connected with the beginning of their diving era. Thanks to its unusually good visibility and varied life, this site is a kind of Alma mater of Slovak divers.
