Gilboa Quarry

Diving at White Star Quarry is considered to be the best inland diving that Northern Ohio has to offer. White Star is a place to dive that is local, convenient and understands that recreational activities are important to you. It is also a place where we can bring our non-diving friends and family with us.

France Park serves scuba divers, technical divers, snorkelers, and mermaids! Air fills, rental gear, and scuba tank visual inspections are available. There is a concession stand next door from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Swimming, hiking, and camping are also available on the property.

Private quarry in Mitchell, IN. Maximum depth of 55 feet, shore entry, platforms, lines, statues, and sunken boats/objects for training participants to enjoy. This quarry used to be a public beach in the 1960s, and steadily became more exclusive as ownership changed hands.

Haigh Quarry is located at 2738 E 2000 N Rd, Kankakee, IL 60901. The quarry is a good place to do training dives and brush up on your scuba skills. There are many artifacts to dive on at depths from 20 feet to 75 feet.

This is a great spot for spring & early summer diving. There are lots of sunken artifacts to find like planes, boats, buses, cars, and a sunken mine shaft. Visibility dramatically reduces toward the fall and winter. You can pay the $5 day use fee or stay the whole weekend at the camp ground on site.

Three Oaks Recreation Area is a 300 acre quarry. Diving is only allowed in the designated area which is about 3 acres in size. Max depth is 45’, Visibility ranges from 40’ to 10’ depending on the time of year. There are 3 training platforms 100 feet apart at a depth of 25 feet marked with buoys at the surface.

This is the old Dolime quarry or also now known as the Glenchristie quarry and is located just outside of Toronto, Canada. The quarry sits at around 30 to 40 feet deep and the deeper section towards the back reaches just to about 90 feet. There is limited parking and this is a popular training site, so get there early!

This is a buoyed wreck which is a Work Barge. The flat hard deck is in 60 feet/ 18 mtrs of water. This site has easy navigation in all visibility. The muddy bottom sits at about 72 feet /22 mtrs) Beware of cold water temperatures. Even in the heat of the summer, 41 F / 5 Celsius is the norm.

This is an excellent dive site for beginners as well as for advanced training. Explore boats, cars, barges, and other assorted items, all sunk & ready for you to discover! This site is apparently private land, although we have not been able to locate any owner. It has been closed for special events like FloatFest.

Pear Lake is located at 1220 Dearborn Ave Hwy 251 South Beloit, IL 61080. The quarry is a great place to do training dives and brush up on your scuba skills. The quarry is only available to Dive Shops and their divers so you’ll have to go there with a dive shop.
