Seal Colony

8 minutos de carro de Daves Diving Kaikoura atrás da Fyffe House. O ponto de entrada/saída está localizado na antiga rampa do barco que está em uso. Note que o lançamento do barco a partir da praia é feito com cuidado. A bóia amarela 'No Fishing' é uma referência para você nadar à superfície.

Grande baía para passar a tarde no lado sul da Península de Kaikoura! O ponto de entrada em forma de "v" recortado no recife por baleeiros antigos. Toda essa área protegida é um ótimo lugar para pescar e explorar. As profundezas se estendem até 14m na maré alta em algumas áreas.

Baxters Reef is an easy beautiful shore dive, great for training and beginner level divers. The inside of the reef is often protected from swell and wind. The outer is more exposed but offers deeper water (8-16m) and more fish life. Straight forward dive with easy navigation and a clear reef to follow.

A very sheltered spot that is normally only used when weather prevents diving elsewhere. It is surrounded by boating exclusion buoys so it is very safe.

The Koi is a 32-meter vessel from Scotland, built in 1912 and sunk in 1940. Originally a passenger ship travelling between Motueka and Nelson, it was later converted into a coal ship. She now lies in 12 meters of water and is a great dive site for macro photography!

Double Cove é uma reserva marinha localizada na bela Queen Charlotte Sound. Este local é ideal para iniciantes e treinamento, pois é bastante abrigado com profundidades de 9 a 18m. A entrada para a água é por barco ou pequeno píer.

Allports Island is an uninhabited island reaching a height of 79 meters. The water is deep around the whole coast of the island and is great for deep diving. The site is suitable for all levels of diving. Mostly used for deep-dive training.

Lochmara is home to a local reef conservation project helping regenerate kelp, as well as an underwater observatory. The area around the observatory shows a great representation of Inner Sound fish species. During our surface intervals, guests can explore the Lochmara Lodge bush and wildlife conservation project.

O Mikhail Lermontov é um dos maiores navios de cruzeiro do mundo. Afundado sob circunstâncias misteriosas em 1986, tornou-se um mergulho em naufrágio de classe mundial adequado para mergulhadores desde iniciantes até os técnicos. O Lermontov fica em uma remota baía abrigada no topo da ilha do Sul da Nova Zelândia.

A sheltered bay in Port Gore, ideal for beginners and training dives. Sandy bottom with a mooring line in the centre, around 6 metres at the bottom of the line. Great spot for night diving too
