Turtle Rocks

O navio de concreto encalhou no início dos anos 1900, antigo navio que funcionava com rum, tornou-se alvo de prática da USAF, agora um recife artificial movimentado com uma história selvagem. Raso (15') e propenso a correntes de maré e temperatura imprevisível da água, o melhor é mergulhar durante a maré baixa ou a chegada da maré.

Este é um naufrágio profundo ao largo de Bimini, nas Bahamas, na beira de uma queda. Atrai muitos pelágicos e escolas de permissão e Pompano Africano. Propenso a corrente e profundidade a partir de 76' (23m), recomenda-se uma certificação tão avançada.

Pequena faixa de coral em 40' (12m) de água, rodeada por leitos de areia e algas. De perfil baixo, com numerosas saliências e sobrecantos. Enormes cardumes de grunhidos e snappers, enguias, tartarugas, tubarões enfermeiro. Muita vida macro a explorar também para o mergulhador experiente. Excelente para todos os níveis de experiência.

Dramatic wall on edge of the Gulf Stream, starting at 65’ feet (19m) with spur and groove formation. Site is prone to current and often done as a drift dive.

Sloping reef starting at 45’ (13m) and bottoming out at 90’ (27m). Spur and grove formation with swim throughs and channels. At the edge of the Gulf Stream so can be prone to current.

Sloping reef ranging from 35-70’ (10-21m) with loads of swim-throughs and overhangs hiding lobsters, eels, and rare blennies. It can be prone to current this so this is often done as a drift dive.

Large scattered high-profile heads in 60’ (18m) of water over white sand. Numerous swim-throughs and a healthy shark population. Coral profile 15-25’ (5-8m).

Hesperus is a small wreck on the bank surrounded by seagrass. Shallow (20’ / 7m), visibility can be a bit murky and green but a large population of loggerhead sea turtles makes up for it.

This is a small donut-shaped reef in about 30-40’ (9-12m) of water surrounded by white sand. Packed with schools of grunts and snappers, lobsters, and eels. An excellent night dive.

Neptune Memorial Reef is situated just offshore from Miami in about 45 feet of water and is one of the most unique dive sites on the planet. It’s an underwater cemetery with gates, pathways, plaques, and even benches.
