Iron Bound

On the East-northeast side about 20 mins from the main dive centers, this dive site consists of 3 reefs, shoreline, the middle reef, and an outer reef running parallel to the middle reef. A very scenic route with overhangs, caverns, and smaller caves make this a wonderful dive site.

Given it’s name because of a large population of a Black Groupers that used to hang around in this area, sadly no longer here. It is situated about 45 minutes form the main hub.

Localizado a 10 minutos a leste do porto principal de Utila, você encontrará a Big Bight. Este local de mergulho pode ser identificado a partir da superfície, notando-se uma praia coberta com pedaços de coral lavados. A praia em si é protegida em ambas as extremidades por rochas de lava afiadas com bordas irregulares e paredes íngremes saindo da água.

Similar em aparência à Black Coral Wall ou Pretty Bush Gentle shop, com algumas formações rochosas e profundidades de até 100 taxa/30m são possíveis. Muitos ou moles corais e peixes.

This is a great shore dive. Rough, rocky entry with some surge to contend with. Once in, the dive is full of vibrant coral and sea fans. Max depth is about 18 meters.

Red Cliffs is another super dive off of the Southern side (southeastern) end of Utila Island in Honduras. A wall of red hard and soft corals gives the sight its name and this is a very popular site also because it is so quickly and easily reached by boat.

Rocky Point is a sloping wall that turns more shear as you proceed east along the wall. Depths in excess of 40 meters are possible. A great site for Extended Range training. Also a nice dive to drift toward the west.

Ted's Point é um popular local de mergulho no lado sul que oferece um fundo arenoso a cerca de 60 pés. O muro inclinado leste tem profundidades acima de 100 pés. O lado oeste é mais raso, a 60 pés.

Linda’s Wall is a south-side dive site, not as well know as other dives. The wall here is beautiful and covered with a spectacular rainbow of hard and soft corals. Easy access makes this a great site to visit.
