Sumisaki
This is one of the most popular points in Kushimoto. There is a big root under the anchor and the top of the root is about 12m. The further north you go, the deeper it gets and the maximum depth is about 27m. There is almost no current and it is a good point for beginners to advanced divers. There are some remote roots scattered around, and there is a root in the northeast and a cleaning station in the west.
At the root below the anchor, you can often observe the snappers throughout the year. At the remote root in the northeast, you can also observe kudagombe, glass goby, and deep sea bannerfish. At the cleaning station in the west, you can observe the cleaning of astragalus and bannerfish. At the roots, frogfish and nudibranchs often appear depending on the season.
