Koh Tachai East Reef offers a gentle sloping reef from 5-10m down to a sandy bottom at 20-30m. It’s an easy, relaxing dive with abundant hard corals. Often called “Leopard Shark Reef“ for good reason, it’s also great for sunset and night dives, with potential for barracudas and schools of trevally.

Koh Tachai West Reef is a popular site known as the “Pinnacle“ or “Twin Peaks,“ featuring massive granite boulders and a coral garden from 12-40m. Currents can be strong, attracting large pelagics like manta rays, whale sharks, and barracudas. Also home to leopard sharks and diverse reef fish.

The Tachai Pinnacle is a rocky dive site with lots of boulders, but between each crevice there are lots of gorgonians and powerful fan corals in all colors.

Koh Tachai North Reef is a sloping hard coral reef leading to a sandy bottom (5-30m). It’s an easy, relaxing dive, great for beginners and night dives. Often called “Leopard Shark Reef“ due to common sightings on the sand. You’ll also find barracudas, schools of trevally, and diverse reef fish.

An easy dive site with many big rocks. In between, there are always coral blocks. This is a long dive site that is good for a drift dive.

Not for beginners! Koh Bon Pinnacle starts at 22m and ends at 45m or deeper. Beautiful vegetation with lots of yellow soft corals are here. There are no descent ropes available. Doing a negative entry is an advantage!

Koh Bon North Reef offers a sloping reef with hard corals transitioning to a sandy bottom (10-30m). This relaxed dive is great for beginners and offers good visibility. While mantas frequent the West Ridge, this side provides ample reef fish, including barracudas and moray eels.

Nice shallow area for diving with a slightly sloping reef. You can swim from the North Ridge over the West Ridge and into the bay. Currents are usually weak to moderate.

Bon Island, about 50 km west of Khao Lak, is an uplifted limestone island about 20 km north of the Similan Islands. This is a long and narrow ridge point on the west side of the island.

This dive site is actually between Koh Bon Bay and West Ridge. A good place to jump from the boat into the water, as you can dive without currents. Viewing the waterfall from below is a natural spectacle in itself.
