Koh Bon is just off Similian Island near Khao Lak. The water is clear and warm. However, every now and then a cold current can come up and be fairly strong so take caution. The reef is beautiful and full of colorful marine life.

Nice shallow area for diving with a slightly sloping reef. You can swim from the North Ridge over the West Ridge and into the bay. Currents are usually weak to moderate.

The Wall/Waterfall, Koh Bon

This dive site is actually between Koh Bon Bay and West Ridge. A good place to jump from the boat into the water, as you can dive without currents. Viewing the waterfall from below is a natural spectacle in itself.

Koh Bon Pinnacle

Not for beginners! Koh Bon Pinnacle starts at 22m and ends at 45m or deeper. Beautiful vegetation with lots of yellow soft corals are here. There are no descent ropes available. Doing a negative entry is an advantage!

Koh Tachai Pinnacle/The Dome

The Dome is a hidden reef point located about 500m south of Tachai Island. A large dome-shaped bedrock shaped like an upturned plate is dotted around a large granite boulder. The top of is at 12 meters and the current can be the strongest in the area depending on the conditions. As a result, there are many large predatory fish such as blue and white trevally, bluefin tuna, barracudas, manta rays, and whale bays.

Breakfast Bend

Breakfast Bend is a very elongated reef. It is slightly sloping with a max depth of 35m. The upper part is full of hard corals, then from 16/18m there is more sand with isolated coral blocks that are beautifully covered in glassfish.
