Lewinnick Reef

Goose Rock is a kelp/rocky reef only accessible by boat. An ideal site for entry-level training as the maximum depth is between 8-10m. For the more experienced diver, small caverns and more depth can be found on the western side of the rock.

Little Fistral is off the western side of Towan Headland and is a shallow reef site with a sandy bottom - perfect for entry-level training and snorkelling. Some interesting rock formations and swim throughs can be found.

Gazzle liegt in der Meeresschutzzone Newquay Bay & Gannel Marine Conservation Zone. Es handelt sich um einen Tauchgang an der flachen Küste, maximale Tiefe - 10 m bei Flut. Seal Cove, also referred to as Chick Rock, is a site only accessible by boat. It is a haul out spot for grey seals and one of our most popular sites amongst divers. Please note that this site can only be dived at high tide to limit disturbance to the seals.

Dane Rock is located just around the corner from Newquay Harbour. It is a shallow reef site with a maximum depth of 8m. An ideal site for entry-level diver training

Our onsite facilities include a classroom and 4m heated pool. We are 1 mile from Newquay Harbour, putting us in the perfect location for diver training.

SS Siracusa 1879-1897. 36m maximale Tiefe. Das als SS Bavaria gebaute, und dann in SS Siracusa umbenannte Schiff war ein Dampfer mit einer Ladung Kohle. In der Nähe von Newquay geriet sie in einen Sturm und erlitt vor Towan Headland Schiffbruch.

SS Lake Edon (1918-1918) was an American cargo ship, loaded with coal and on voyage from Barry, Wales. She was torpedoed by German submarine U-107, 4 miles NE of Towan Headland, Newquay. 18 men were lost. The wreck now sits at 35m-40m.

Another site only accessible by boat, Carters Rock is a shallow, rocky kelp reef with a maximum depth of 10m. Kelp runs along the bouldery bottom to about 7m where it then turns into a white sandy bottom. Another good site for entry-level diver training.

SS Hugin (1889-1918) was a Swedish cargo steamer, en route to Liverpool. She was carrying a cargo of woodpile and timber when she was torpedoed 4.5 miles from St. Agnes, by German submarine U-60. None of the crew were lost. She now sits at 35m-40m on the seabed.
